Arrest in South Australia over child exploitation material

Detectives from the Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team – which is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police and South Australia Police’s Special Crimes Investigation Branch – yesterday arrested a 17-year-old boy from the northern suburbs.

He was charged with two counts of rape, one count of producing child exploitation material, and two counts of possessing child exploitation material.

It will be alleged that some of the children depicted in the material were under 14 years of age.

The youth has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Tuesday, 20 June 2017.
